Wonder if Verizon will cripple this phone like it does to all of it's Motos (and others)? I had Verizon for a few years and one of the most annoying things about the company is it's refusal to allow for DUN profiles for it's headsets or really any sort of ability for the customer to fully utilize bluetooth. So I went to TMobile and now can transfer files and synch my BB over bluetooth. I'll have to admit that Verizon had much better coverage and faster wireless web, but the draconian policies it enforces on it's customers is a bit too much.

I had tmobile and switched to verizon a year ago and it was the best decision I've even made regarding wireless serv. I use the 8703e model and its an awesome device. I can access websites in seconds and I also use my device as a modem to connect to my laptop. Its so freaking fast that its wows me everytime I use it. Its live saver!!! I don't mind that they restrict some things I guess it makes some happy and otherd mad. But back to this new blckberry coming out! I'm so sooooo happy that theuy will carry it cayse they r d best

I just got the 8830 I had treo 650 before and let me tell you something i think im going to return it. Somethings are great like surfing the web witch i had a very hard time doing with my 650 but not being able to take pix because it has no camera is one thing but not being able to get mms texts now that is another how stupid is that. I think verizon desabled the mms on the bb 8830 witch is the dumbest thing I ever herd.
VERIZON SUCKES A*SS!

I feel the same way about the 8830 with verizon. Don't get me wrong I love the phone. But no camera. No aim service. No mms. Its crippled. Now a days. Everyone, business and personal, use these features. It is not a good idea for verizon especially with so many other companies having these features. Hopefully that will change and verizon will get their act together. But even with these setbacks this is still one of the best phones I have had

I have the Treo700p as well as this BB. Treo is MUCH better. BB is lacking: camera, camcorder, itunes storage, text to everyone. my company is thinking about switching & everyone testing the BB thinks it SUCKS compared to Treo.
BTW wtf's up with BB IM messenger to only other BB users.....its the stupidest thing...why would I IM another BB user when I'm on email all day - email is just as fast and I can communicate with everyone through 1 application... keep trying blackberry
