Blackberry 8300 Daytona release date approaching

Posted by Jason at 1:08 pm

From all the screenshots and images we have seen, it seems the much anticipated Blackberry 8300 aka “Daytona” is branded to AT&T. We have some unconfirmed news that T-Mobile customers can expect to see the Blackberry 8300 in very early May. Introduction price will probably be set at $250 w/ new activations.

Seems this is the perfect solution to those like me where I LOVE my Blackberry Pearl but like the advantage of a wider screen, but at the same time dont like the physical size of the 8700 (a bit bulky for me). So far, reports say the Daytona will come with the following:

  1. Improved OS
  2. 2mb Camera (no video capability)
  3. WiFi capability
  4. GPS enabled w/ software
  5. Improved speakerphone
  6. Media player (just like the Pearl)

Some of these *may* not end up in the 8300 as some reports are contradictary, but never the less, should be a great phone! Will you be switching to the new 8300 when it comes out? Pros/Cons? Let us know :]

Check out this cool video:
